I didn’t intend to write much about this, but as an excuse for recent blog silence (and probably a few more days of silence), I thought I’d let you all in on a little secret.

Last weekend, Kevin and I visited Martha’s Vineyard for a long-weekend getaway. Martha’s Vineyard is one of my favorite places in the entire world, and it was a glorious weekend! Sunny skies, comfy fall temperatures – great for beach strolling and picture taking. We arrived on the island as just boyfriend and girlfriend…

…and came home engaged!

I am (we are) both elated and so so happy. I couldn’t possibly find a better partner, who’s more patient, kind, tolerant or devilishly handsome. Plus, he eats all of my baked goods so I feel free to bake more.

I feel like the luckiest girl in the WORLD, and am temporarily living on cloud nine. When I return to earth, I promise I’ll be back with some new recipes!
