Today I’m taking part in my first Kitchen Play event, which features a new Jarlsberg product – Original Cheese Dip. I’m not a frequent buyer of things like cheese dip, but I do like Jarlsberg cheese (and cheese in general, of course) so I was excited to participate in the event and give this new product a try!

Today I’m sharing one delicious way I used the product with you, though I can imagine the ideas are endless.
When I first tried this dip – which is ultra creamy and super rich, I thought it would be perfect paired with mashed potatoes. I like adding cheese to my mashed potatoes from time to time, and thought that the creamy texture, rich flavor, and extra-cheesiness of this dip would be the perfect addition. That seemed a bit too boring though, so I opted instead to mix it into a mashed potato substitute that I have been eating a lot lately – mashed cauliflower.
Mashed cauliflower is super nutritious, but also delicious, and has a texture that somewhat resembles mashed potatoes. Adding the Jarlsberg cheese dip kicks the flavor up several notches, and creates a wonderfully creamy, cheesy cauliflower creation. I added a pinch of salt and pepper as well, and a sprinkle of chili powder for a kick.
We polished off this bowl in no time, and I still wanted more! I bought another head of cauliflower and plan to recreate this recipe sometime this week. It’s too good not to! If you give this a try (and I think you should!), you can add the flavorings to taste – salt, pepper, chili powder if you please – and of course a generous scoop of Jarlsberg Cheese Dip.
