Holy cow. These cookies are incredible. I stumbled across this recipe on one of my very favorite baking blogs, Baking Bites, and was completely intrigued. I’ve always had a weakness for chocolate chip cookies, and as a result have tried many recipes and variations, but I’d never really thought to stuff my cookies with cream cheese.
Well, what a fantastic idea that was. A couple weeks ago, I was baking with a friend who only had whole wheat flour in her kitchen, so I used 100% whole wheat flour, but when I tried my first one, I completely forgot that they were without all-purpose flour. They taste heavenly in their “healthier” form, which makes me wonder, could they be even better in all of their sinful goodness? Sometime I’ll have to try, but until then, I’ve got these to tide me over.
