My first experience with Max Brenner was years ago – we stopped into their Union Square, NYC location and sampled the most delicious little chocolates – their Praline Pecans. The little caramelized pecans are covered in chocolate dusted with cocoa powder, and are so incredibly delicious. With that first bite began a serious love affair.

WORLDFOODS is hosting a blogger competition across five states, Massachusetts, Michigan, California, Texas, New York and Maryland, and participants were tasked with using WORLDFOODS products to create inventive and delicious dishes. Until a couple of weeks ago, I’d never been to a ballet. I’ve seen a few of shows on broadway and attended countless concerts, but ballet has always been a mystery for me; except for in the cheesy chick flick Center Stage, which I’ve probably seen 1,234 times. Last year I missed the Boston Brunchers and Boston Ballet event, so I was thrilled to be able to attend this year’s event, on the Boston Ballet’s opening night! (more…)
When I was approached recently to sample some cookies from a local company in Vermont, I was thrilled. I can honestly never turn down a cookie – must be the baker in me! – but cookies hailing from Vermont sounded even more intriguing. I have a deep-rooted love for/obsession with Vermont, and dream of moving there someday, so pretty much anything that creates an association with the state or reminds me of my fond memories of visiting it, I love.
